"Poirot" Gallery

The following images are of the television show Agatha Christie's Poirot, or simply as Poirot in recent years. The show began in 1989 and is planned to continue through to 2013. David Suchet plays the role of Hercule Poirot in all the stories. Through 2002, Suchet was joined by a supporting cast that included Hugh Fraser (as Captain Arthur Hastings), Philip Jackson (as Chief Inspector James Japp), and Pauline Moran (as Poirot's secretary Felicity Lemon).

After that time, the supporting cast ceased appearing in the show. The show's producers desired to be as close to the original Christie stories as possible, which meant not including these characters (since they didn't appear in the novels). The episodes prior to 2002 included the supporting cast, yet they are absent in the original stories anyway. Since 2005, actress Zoë Wanamaker has been portraying the mystery writer Ariadne Oliver in 4 stories (with 2 more planned in 2013).
