"Poirot" Gallery

The following images are of the television show "Agatha Christie's Poirot", or simply as "Poirot" nowadays. The show began in 1989 and is continuing through 2009. David Suchet plays the role of Hercule Poirot in all the stories. Through 2002, Suchet was joined by a supporting cast that included Hugh Fraser (as Captain Arthur Hastings), Philip Jackson (as Chief Inspector James Japp), and Pauline Moran (as secretary Felicity Lemon).

After that time, the supporting cast ceased appearing in the show. The show's producers desired to be close to the original Christie stories as possible, which meant not including these characters (since they didn't appear in the novels). Actually, some of the TV episodes included them, yet they are absent in the original stories. Since 2005, actress Zoë Wanamaker has been portraying the mystery writer Ariadne Oliver in 3 stories.
