Greenway House now opened to the public!

Agatha and Max's home Greenway House is opened to the public. After a restoration of 2 years, this villa on the River Dart in Devon will be opened to the viewing public. Led by the National Trust, people will tour the home the Mallowans resided in during the 1940s & 50s. The interiors (especially the paint) have been lovingly restored to its original beauty. The visitors to the home will see firsthand areas such as the drawing room, morning room, dining room, the library (including its famous frieze), and bedrooms. This news can be found either at Yahoo! or The Times. The National Trust's page for Greenway is here on the Web. What an exciting time for fans!

New Blog added for HPC

A new blog has been added to Hercule Poirot Central. I'll give my opinions, comments, and random thoughts on Agatha Christie here. You can subscribe to these ramblings or comment on them if you like. I certainly plan on using this 1-2 weeks, at least that's the plan. I'm thinking of highlighting one Agatha Christie book per month from my blog. Hope you enjoy this new venture as much as I do.

Titled "The Unicorn and the Wasp", it is understood that Agatha's disappearance of 1926 will be explained in the episode, starring David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor. Fenella Woolgar portrays Agatha in this story, also with Catherine Tate as the Doctor's companion Donna. Woolgar was previously seen in the Poirot story Lord Edgware Dies, with David Suchet. Hercule Poirot Central Re-Launched!

After many (ten!) months of upgrading and improving this site, HPC was re-launched on May 1, 2008. This site now boasts 14 newly featured articles, a newly created 'theme' feature, more graphics, and more interactivity. Then soon, expect to see other changes like: an upgraded discussion board, a Poirot/Agatha Christie-themed 'postcard' feature, visitor polls, and an improved search engine within the site. Be patient for these additions, and for more in the future!

About themes:

To change a theme, simply click one of the images above the navigation links on the left. A different theme is actually a different page layout. Information stays the same; the colors, images, and fonts will change. These themes can be changed anytime, and your computer remembers the current theme if you return to the site.
